FAQ
Straight answers on what PCP is, where your files live, what it costs, and how long it takes.
Personal Continuity Planning™ is a practical framework for helping you keep your life going through a crisis. Instead of treating document organization, disaster planning, caregiving, aging and end-of-life preparation as unrelated projects, PCP connects them into one system you can work through over time — three phases: Critical Information (PIPP™), Disaster Preparation (DizPrep™), and Legacy & End-of-Life Planning.
No. PCP is intentionally comprehensive because people, families and life situations are different. Start with the areas that matter most to you. Useful preparation completed today is more valuable than a perfect plan that never gets started.
No. BePrepared.biz provides the resource library, blank tools and guidance. The confidential information you enter into downloaded planning files stays under your control on your own personal devices. We do not collect or store your completed personal planning information in a BePrepared.biz cloud database.
You download blank digital workbooks, templates, and spreadsheets onto your laptop, notebook, USB drive, or external drive. Disconnect from the internet for extra protection if you want. Microsoft Word and Excel let you password-protect and encrypt the files. Share that password only with people you trust.
Yes. If you already have personal information in a digital format, copy and paste it into the Word and Excel files. Flexibility is the point — modify the documents as you prefer.
Only you and the people you give access to your devices and files. BePrepared.biz and BrainStorm Network LLC never have access to your confidential information. Employers in the corporate program do not see employees’ completed files.
Personal and family packaging and pricing are being finalized as the full three-phase PCP System is completed. The Plans & Pricing page will show exactly what is included and the current purchase options before you buy. Employer pricing is based on eligible headcount — request the Corporate Preview Packet.
It depends on how complex your life is and how thorough you want to be. Being prepared is a process — information keeps changing.
Start with the most damaging: accidents and illness that threaten memory and brain function, and total-home-loss events (house fire, wildfire, flood, hurricane, tornado). DizPrep™ walks the Big Five plus 72-hour supplies. If the house is a slab, the plan still has to exist somewhere you can reach.
Phase 1 collects information. What To Do About… collects instructions — how to handle finances, taxes, investments, property, vehicles, businesses, websites, social media, pets, hobbies, and routines after a crisis. Deluxe includes this path.
No. Digital products cannot be returned like a toaster. Once you download, that is the purchase. Support is via these FAQs and email at john@BePrepared.biz.
